Description: When permitted the R/W Design Section will make studies of City owned properties or Rights-of-Way. Property and Right-of-Way Studies can provide a reasonably accurate representation of a specific parcel of land, a general area or the existing and proposed Rights-of-Way of a street. Studies can be time consuming but should be cost effective because a major study such as LAS VEGAS BOULEVARD or MAIN STREET will save the R/W Design Section time in determining the existing or required Rights-of-Way from the properties along these streets. These studies can help the Right-of-Way Section answer questions from many sources. These questions may come from other city departments, a City Council Member, the City Manager, the Mayor, the general public, private engineering companies, utility companies or other governmental agencies such as Clark County or the State of Nevada.
