These layers show the ratio of children under 18 for Hearing & Vision and children 5-17 for Cognitive/Ambulatory/Self-Care using the 2022 release of data from the American Community Survey (ACS) about "Sex by Age by Hearing Difficulty" (Table B18102), "Sex by Age by Vision Difficulty" (Table B18103), "Sex by Age by Cognitive Difficulty" (Table B18104), "Sex by Age by Ambulatory Difficulty" (Table B18105), and "Sex by Age by Self-Care Difficulty (Table B18106) and contain estimates and margins of error. This is shown by tract boundaries.
For Hearing Difficulty – The layer is symbolized to show the percentage of the Children under 18 with a hearing disability [(Sum of <18 Hearing Disability divided by Sum <18) x 100].
For Vision Difficulty – The layer is symbolized to show the percentage of the Children under 18 with a vision disability [(Sum of <18 Vision Disability divided by Sum <18) x 100].
For Cognitive Difficulty – The layer is symbolized to show the percentage of the Children 5-17 with a cognitive disability [(Sum of 5-17 Cognitive Difficulty divided by Sum of 5-17) x 100].
For Ambulatory Difficulty – The layer is symbolized to show the percentage of the Children 5-17 with an ambulatory disability [(Sum of 5-17 Ambulatory Difficulty divided by Sum of 5-17) x 100].
For Self-Care Difficulty – The layer is symbolized to show the percentage of the Children 5-17 with a self-care disability [(Sum of 5-17 Self-Care Difficulty divided by Sum of 5-17) x 100].
Percent of Children with Disabilities was calculated by:[(Percent Hearing + Percent Vision + Percent Cognitive + Percent Ambulatory + Percent Self-Care) divided by 5 to ensure no value is over 100%]
