Service Description: This project is part of a broader research initiative to support the modernization of the National Spatial Reference System (NSRS) and to ensure the continuity of Oregon’s long-term coastal monitoring efforts. The study focuses on reoccupying and surveying legacy GNSS control points originally established by DOGAMI along the Oregon Coast—including key benchmarks in and around Nehalem Bay State Park. These control points were part of past shoreline stability and hazard monitoring campaigns. By resurveying these marks using modern GNSS methods, we aim to assess positional changes over time, align historical data with new reference frames (e.g., NATRF2022), and contribute to improved geodetic control for hazard mapping, sea level change studies, and coastal infrastructure planning.
