Statewide layer of municipal (local) election voting districts (wards) in Vermont. Compiled by VCGI using best available information from Vermont Municipalities and the Vermont Secretary of State. Current as of June 2023. Municipal election wards/districts are areas of representation for town-level government.

Field Descriptions:

- TOWNREG / TOWN OF REGISTRATION: Municipality

- TOWNGEOID / TOWNGEOID: Unique identifier for each municipality based on the most current edition of the Vermont Geographic Area Names and Codes Standard. Useful for joining with other data by town.

- HASWARDS / HAS WARDS: Condition / presence of municipal wards for a given town

- WARD / WARD: ward or district name or number

- WARDUNI / WARD UNIQUE: Unique ward or district name or number. Constructed by combining municipality name per Vermont Geographic Aera Names and Codes Standard with respective Ward/District number for each municipality.

- YEARUPD / YEAR UPDATED: Year in which ward/district area was drawn and is reflective of, including whether or not said Municipality has wards

- LCLDIST / LOCAL DISTRICT: Reflects related municipal districts with wards if present

- NOTES / NOTES: Detailed description of source and/or conditions of municipal ward information
