The Caltrans Office of Natural Resource Management (ONRM) serves as Caltrans' commitment as a partner agency in the California Wildfire & Forest Resilience Task Force. The ONRM oversees vegetation management activities in the Caltrans right-of-way (ROW) along state highways to reduce the threat of wildfires. These highway Project Locations mark the highway segments included in the Fuels Reduction Contracts for vegetation management. The Project Locations were derived from the official State Highway Network (SHN) and/or official Postmiles Linear Reference System (LRS), and extend from the contracted beginning Postmile to the contracted ending Postmile. Where applicable, both primary and secondary carriageways were included. The Project Location attributes have been enriched to include fields for data tracking and reporting by District Vegetation Management Program (VMP) teams and/or their contractors throughout the length of the contract.
