Description:

North Region Project are pulled from PRSM and filtered based on North Regions employees needs. The script is run on a weekly basis on Monday or Tuesday to update the data and is republished afterwards."

The associated data are considered Department of Transportation, Caltrans, enterprise GIS data, which meet all appropriate requirements of the Department of Transportation, Caltrans, Spatial Data Standards, as defined by the current North Region Geospatial Workflow Guidance document that is current as of latest update of data. The service will be updated on a weekly basis or as often as we can. The current procedures in updating the PRSM data follows a 6 step processes of running python scripts. Contact Hervey Lee on the location of the file:

1. Beta The script is used the newest downloaded file from PRSM and clean out all the unnecessary fields.

2. PointsCheck and LinesCheck The script overwrite previous files and uses TableToTablet conversion to convert PRSM data into Points and Lines

3. ThirdStep The script uses the Postmile tool and creates the points and lines. There is no evaluation if the tool does not see the Postmile.

4. FourthStep The script combines the Points and Lines into 1 file.

5. FifthStep LineCheck and FifthStep_PointCheck These two scripts looks for missing entries that did not go through the Postmile Tool.

6. FifthStep Combines all features and missing entries into 1 feature class.

7. SixthStep Cleans the data by inserting phase and removing zeroes in front of the route.
