Description: State of California county boundaries. The Teale Data Center GIS Solutions Group originally assembled the dataset from 1:100,000-scale (100K) USGS Digital Line Graph (DLG) data, and further edited the dataset as necessary. The dataset was later modified by the California Department of Fish and Game (DFG), including conversion to California Teale Albers NAD83, dataset renaming, and miscellaneous edits and attribute changes. Selected feature names were taken from the USGS Geographic Names Information System (GNIS). Additional attributes include county numbers and abbreviations.
