The Office of Homelessness and Encampments cannot provide social services but works through its district encampment coordinators to partner with local governments, nonprofits and government agencies that are funded, trained, and equipped to conduct outreach and help people experiencing homelessness secure alternative placement in emergency shelters, transitional living, or permanent/long-term housing. Information in the report is collected on-site by district coordinators and provided to Maintenance HQ Office of Homelessness and Encampments.
