Description: This layer contains the segments of State and US Routes associated with all the chain control signs in District 9. During winter storm events, the signs alert travelers to the status of roads as dictated by frequently changing weather conditions. The five status levels and their respective colors are:
R0/No Restrictions (Blue Outline)
R1 (Red)
R2 (Silver)
R3 (Dark Green)
Full Closure (Black)
Users are able to set the status of one or multiple segments according to information relayed from the field for the respective signs. Segments are defined as the uninterrupted stretch of roadway between two chain control signs and localized by post miles. For most highways, segment length differs depending on the direction of the highway.
