Description: This dataset contains point data collected yearly starting in 2015 by Franklin Soil and Water Conservation District under the guidance of Franklin County Public Health officials as well as point data derived from FCPH records, imported and geolocated using ESRI ArcMap software. Data included refers to the location of home sewage treatment systems and their corresponding components including private drinking water wells on the property. Data that has been mapped without a field visit were placed near the center of the property’s parcel. Each component type is stored within a feature class, some containing additional fields to record system type, conditions, components, and location of the effluent discharge.Collection, processing and storage occurred using the ESRI ArcGIS suite. 2015/2016: Field collection was completed using Trimble Arrow GPS receivers connected to GNSS satellites to provide sub-(meter?) accuracy. The data was then post-processed in house at FSWCD.2017 to present: Field collection was completed using Apple IPad and ESRI’s Collector App on a cellular network. Data was uploaded remotely to the FSWCD SDE network where it was processed and stored in local FSWCD databases.
