Description: <font style="font-family:"Avenir Next W01", "Avenir Next W00", "Avenir Next", Avenir, "Helvetica Neue", sans-serif; font-size:16px;">Layer to display data on sightings/band re-sightings of urban Loggerhead Shrikes. (PRODUCTION)</font><br /><div style="font-family:"Avenir Next W01", "Avenir Next W00", "Avenir Next", Avenir, "Helvetica Neue", sans-serif; font-size:16px;"><br /></div><div style="font-family:"Avenir Next W01", "Avenir Next W00", "Avenir Next", Avenir, "Helvetica Neue", sans-serif; font-size:16px;"><div style="font-family:inherit;">The objective of this project is to obtain productivity and mortality data that can be used to help identify sources of Loggerhead Shrike declines. Tracking nests makes it possible to identify whether this life stage is a source of population decline due to site-specific variables. This information can then be used to target management efforts designed to mitigate Loggerhead Shrike declines. Food sources may play a vital role in nest success, and this project will also collect information on shrike larders, substrates upon which the birds impale and store food items for later consumption. Finally, this project will also track use of the study areas by color-banded birds to try and gain a better understanding of site occupancy and habitat use over time.<br /></div><div style="font-family:inherit;"><br /></div><div style="font-family:inherit;"><p style="margin-top:0px; margin-bottom:1.5rem;">Data for this project will be collected by TPWD staff with the Texas Nature Trackers program, project partners including American Bird Conservancy, and community (citizen) science volunteers via a Survey 123 form. </p></div></div>
