Service Description: The R3 (w/ Forest_Ratio) Alligator Snapping Turtle (AST) Stream Habitat Suitability Model output. The model is a weighted overlay derived from three species-relevant variable that were weighted according to their importance for suitability of AST. Streams were derived from dissolving NHD streams and a few chosen attributes to HUC12 sub watershed scale, deriving statistics during the dissolve, and joining the % of forest cover according to the LEP EMS layer to each HUC12 subwatershed stream. These variables and the following equation were used to derive the final suitability score of the streams.
