Description: Locations of Advertising Device Control (ADC) Permits along the state highway system. ADC Permits ensure advertising devices meet established criteria for size, lighting, and spacing of signs, displays, and devices. Enacted in 1965, the Highway Beautification Act federally requires all states to maintain effective control over all outdoor advertising. Through an agreement with the federal government and as defined in the Ohio Revised Code and Ohio Administrative Code, the Ohio Department of Transportation is responsible for this oversight along controlled interstate and federal-aid primary highways in the state.
Description: Inventory of various physical and administrative data related to the roadway networks that are either maintained by or are of special interest to the Ohio Department of Transportation, maintained by the Transportation Information Management Section of the Office of Technical Services, and considered the State’s “official” source for certified mileage, lane miles, Federal Aid eligibility, and HPMS.
