Description: 25-foot Stream Buffers for waterways in Jefferson County, MO that have been designated as a Stream Order 2. The buffer distance was previously 20 feet. Due to Code changes in 2017 to the Erosion and Sediment Control/Stormwater Management Design Criteria (Section 505.170), Stormwater Division regulation now requires all streams in Jefferson County that are designated as a Stream Order 2 to have a 25-foot buffer on each side of the stream beginning from the top of the stream bank. The buffer distance was increased to display a 25-foot buffer surrounding each Stream Order 2 in Jefferson County.
