Service Description: The MajorRoads feature class includes major arterials and state highway features for the San Diego and Imperial County region, as well as additional features for portions of Orange and Riverside Counties and northern Baja, CA. The data was developed primarily for use in developing cartographic products and services at the regional or sub-regional scale.

Source data includes SanGIS Roads_All, Caltrans State Highway Centerlines, and street centerline data from the County of Imperial. Regional aerial imagery (1'/pixel resolution or better) is generally used as a guide for delineating roadway alignments, primarily using heads up digitizing methods, using ArcGIS desktop software.
