Metropolitan bus routes for the Canterbury, New Zealand region. This dataset was downloaded from the Canterbury Maps Data Service. It has been modified in the following ways:

• The dataset was converted from a shapefile to a geodatabase feature class.

• The dataset name was changed.

• The data was clipped to a subset of the original features.

• Some attributes were deleted, renamed, or hidden.

• An attribute was added to designate each feature by one of four route types: metro line, city connector, suburban link, or ferry. These values were calculated from route names and numbers as described on the Wikipedia page Public transport in Christchurch.
