Description: For characteristic scenarios, we make use of the source models developed by Gao et al. (2018). The models are based on the northward extensions from the Witter et al. (2013) seismic sources from northern California to Washington, but also include source areas located to the west of Vancouver Island. In this regard, splay faulting rupture and buried rupture source models corresponding to the same seismic moment (Mw=9.0 magnitude) but with different cross-shore distributions of the sea floor uplifts are selected for this project.
