Name: Livestock Show Venues

Display Field: NAME

Type: Feature Layer

Geometry Type: esriGeometryPoint

Description: During emergency events where agricultural infrastructure and provisions are damaged, supplies and surviving livestock assets require temporary storage and relocation. This dataset was developed to provide locations of livestock show venues -- facilities which may have the capacity or infrastructure needed for temporary agricultural accommodations, and to which donated supplies and recovered livestock may be directed. This layer was initiated from a county-by-county search for livestock show venues in Texas, and, where possible, addresses or approximate locations were compiled from social media homepages, livestock association websites, city or county facilities webpages, venue websites, or aerial imagery and Google Street View. Venues have not been verified as show hosts, nor verified to be able to temporarily store or house agricultural assets. This dataset is not intended to be a comprehensive inventory of all livestock show venues, and is intended for general use. There are no claims, promises, or guarantees about the accuracy, completeness, or adequacy of the contents of this dataset. The creators and distributors of this dataset shall not be held liable for any errors and omissions in the contents of this dataset, nor shall they be held liable for any damages, injuries, or losses resulting from the use or misuse of this dataset. By accessing or using this dataset, users agree to comply with this disclaimer and assume full responsibility for any risks associated with its use.
