Service Description: Two indexes are used to determine the severity of heat of each census tract in Washington, D.C.: The Heat Exposure Index (HEI) is determined by environmental quality and land use features, and the Heat Sensitivity Index (HSI) is determined by a conglomeration of demographic and social factors that would increase an individual's heat risk.
