There may be private inholdings within the boundaries of Federal lands in this map layer. This is a revised version of the December 2005 map layer. This data layer was modified by HRRC for the display in Texas Coastal Planning Atlas.

Description: This coverage contains boundaries of Texas state parks, wildlife management areas (WMAs) and fisheries facilities. The boundaries were collected from Texas Dept. of Transportation county maps,General Land Office data, Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept. (TPWD) Public Lands Stackhouse mylar sheets from the Survey Section, other TPWD Survey Section data, Park or WMA boundaries on U.S. Geological Survey 7.5 quads, TPWD Wildlife Division boundaries drawn on USGS 7.5 quads from Penny Bartnicki (Wildlife Facilities Coordinator). When completem this coverage should include boundaries for all state parks, wildlife management areas and fisheries facilities. The data was accessed from the Texas General Land Office and clipped by HRRC for the display in Texas Coastal Planning Atlas.
