Description: This map illustrates the "Risk", or more appropriately termed hazard, is defined as: the potential that, without remediation, 25 percent or more of the standing live basal area (BA) of trees greater than 1 inch in diameter will die over the next 15 years due to insects and diseases.
This map is a reproduction of the "Areas at Risk* Relative to Forest Service Lands" by Forest Health Technology Enterprise Team. Some symbology have been modified for visual enhancement and may differ from the original map.
The Risk map modeling process was completed in 2012 with projections covering modeled hazard for the period 2013-2027. There are no current decisions (Feb. 2017) as to when the next iteration of this map/analysis will take place.
