These data are the polygons of the Tongass National Forest data which are owned by the Forest Service with the following removed:

• Roads of operational level 2-5 with a buffer of 50’ on either side of center line

• Utility with a buffer of 100’ on either side of center line (corrected from version 040924 which was incorrect)

• Current wilderness areas

• Green's creek AOI polygon

• Green's creek active claims polygon

• Kensington active claims polygon

• Bokan active claims polygon

• Substantially noticeable developed areas around Mendenhall Glacier and around Green’s Creek, Kensington, Bokan mines

• Recreation sites with a Development scale of 2 OR 3 with a 1 acre buffer (corrected from version 040924 which was incorrect)

• Recreation sites with a Development scale of 4 OR 5 with a 1.5 acre buffer (corrected from version 040924 which was incorrect)

• Polygon of Dangerous River and Harlequin Lake TH (corrected location not available in Rec Site data so this was drawn by hand)

• Certain substantially noticeable developed areas removed (identified by specialists on the Tongass Forest Plan Revision wilderness working group involved in the first internal review)

• Certain attribute changes made that were incorrect (identified by specialists on the Tongass Forest Plan Revision wilderness working group involved in the first internal review)

• Roads where operational level is <NULL> with a buffer of 50’ on either side of center line

• All polygons not contiguous to current wilderness AND less than 5,000 acres AND not a small offshore island were removed
