Description: The no camping area is derived from the Yosemite Superintendents Compendium and Wilderness Management Plan that regulating camping in Yosemite. In general, there is no camping one mile from a public access road and four miles from a trailhead in Yosemite Valley, Wawona, and Hetch Hetchy and 1.5 miles from Badger Pass Ski Area, as well as at Dewey Point and Glacier Point during the winter months. There are no specific dates for this winter no camping area, but is defined when the Glacier Point Road and Tioga Road are closed for the season due to winter conditions. The winter exception for the Mariposa Grove is from December 1 to April 15 and the Mariposa Grove Road is closed.
