This is a vector point dataset representing the natural phenomena and human infrastructure in and around Yosemite National Park that is of interest to park visitors. Information contained in this data set includes the type of feature, seasonal feature closure if applicable, and cartographic labels. This dataset is utilizing the drafted NPS Points of Interest Spatial Data Standard dated 02/03/2017.

This dataset is intended for public as well as internal use. Some records are not appropriate or necessary for public products but are of interest to NPS employees, partners, and contractors. These records have their data access set to Internal NPS Only and are not to be displayed on public maps. The points of public interest in this data set have been attributed for Public Map Display and unrestricted data access and are set for public data distribution, symbolization in cartographic products for visitors, etc., e.g. Nat Geo Trails Illustrated.
