The Tuolumne Wild and Scenic River (WSR) boundary within Yosemite National Park. The original file was created by Yosemite GIS lab based on Tuolumne WSR EIS from 1979 that determined the Tuolumne River eligible for inclusion in the National Wild and Scenic Rivers system. Since then, it has undergone several updates including:
1) clipped the WSR corridor boundary to the park boundary;
2) split into additional segments per direction of the TWSR Draft Comprehensive Management Plan EIS Core Team direction;
3) added a 'technical correction' for the true Dana Fork (note that the WSR corridor boundary as shown in the attached file will be revised once the TWSR comprehensive management plan EIS Record Of Decision is signed. In the designating legislation signed by Congress, the Dana Fork of the Tuolumne was incorrectly identified as the unnamed tributary descending from Tioga Pass. The true Dana Fork is included in this file as a 'proposed wild' segment.)
4) each WSR corridor segment is identified by number and classification. The classification of 'wild' or 'scenic' was determined in the designating legislation in accordance with the Wild and Scenic Rivers Act and will be reaffirmed by the EIS.
