Abstract: Urban Forestry Division (UFD) managed trees and tree locations. The dataset contains locations and attributes of public trees and tree spaces, originating from street, park & school locations, and is created as part of the District of Columbia, Department of Transportation (DDOT) Street Spatial Database (SSD). The data provided herein is shared openly and in real-time (via API). METADATA CONTENT IS IN PROCESS OF VALIDATION AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE.

Purpose: This data is used for the management of District trees, as well as the maintenance of Reference Features of the District of Columbia, Department of Transportation (DDOT).

Supplemental Information: The present dataset represents a composite of legacy data as was available to the DDOT/Urban Forestry Administration in early 2006 as well as ongoing updates that have occurred since then. Early data was comprised of various sources, including a Casey Trees Foundation inventory of 2002 and the UFA database of that period, MISTRE (Management Inventory for Street Trees).
