Portable park-approved bear-proof containers are required in some areas. They are highly recommended on any trip and necessary when camping in an area without metal food storage boxes. Overnight users are required to carry portable containers in Dusy Basin, Rae Lakes Loop, Rock Creek, and the base of North Dome.
