Non-Sensitive Current NNL Boundary Points (Public) (0)

Description:

This layer represents current point locations of most National Natural Landmark (NNL) sites. Some sites do not appear due to privacy and/or resource sensitivity.
Each point represents the general location for a single NNL, typically placed at the center point of the site’s boundary polygon. NNLs that have boundaries comprised of multiple polygons are represented by a single point that is an aggregate of those polygon centroids, thus the resulting single point may or may not actually fall within the NNL boundary.
NNLs occur on both public and private lands and public access is not required. Some sites do not allow public access others may require crossing private land to access them. Showing these data does not provide any authorization, expressed or implied, to enter or cross private lands. For additional site information, please contact the appropriate NNL Program staff person.
The data are current as of the date of the last update. The information contained in these data is dynamic and may change over time. The data are not better than the original sources from which they were derived.
