Description: This point layer contains all points of interest that are part of the "Segregation in Virginia's National Parks, 1916-1965" StoryMap. The sites were pulled from the associated Segregation in Virginia's National Parks, 1916-1965 (2022) historic resource study written by Dr. Erin Krutko Devlin of the University of Mary Washington (UMW) and commissioned by the National Park Service. Staff and students affiliated with UMW's Geography Department generated the original feature layers and maps which were subsequently edited by NPS staff.
Original text, data, and maps produced by Dr. Erin Krutko Devlin (UMW), Dr. Jacqueline Gallagher (UMW), Dr. Stephen Hanna (UMW), and UMW students Josie Allamby and Elisa Luckabaugh.
