Description: These sites represent areas where biological control for hemlock wooly adelgid has been established or there has been effort to establish. Multiple species of predatory beetle have been utilized throughout the park in multiple hemlock forest types. Some areas represent insectaries that once established are used to generate biocontrol that will be moved to other areas in the park. These sites are periodically monitored to gauge efficacy of operations. Established sites are generally considered to encompasses a 300 meter radius area from initial release point.
