Description: In 2008 Assateague Island National Seashore continued to survey shoreline position as part of its Geomorphologic Monitoring program. This file presents the results of the Fall 2008 (October) survey, and contains the Ocean-side survey area for all of Maryland and Virginia and the bayside survey within Maryland. Note: This survey and previous surveys were collected in two-second intervals. Future surveys will use one-second recording intervals in order to comply with the Northeast Coastal and Barrier Network Geomorphologic Monitoring Protocol.In June 2013 the dataset was updated to NAD83 (2011) epoch 2010.00
