The dataset is an&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;font&gt;&lt;span style='font-size:16px;'&gt;amalgamation of all the Conservation Authorities data that participated in the 2018 Watershed Report Cards.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;font&gt;&lt;span style='font-size:16px;'&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;font&gt;&lt;span style='font-size:16px;'&gt;&lt;b&gt;Surface Water Quality&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;font&gt;&lt;span style='font-size:16px;'&gt;Findings show surface water quality decreases the closer water is to people. Impacts are noticed as a result of various land use practices such as development which creates multiple sources of discharge including sewage treatment plant effluent, winter salt application or stormwater run-off. Some agricultural practices will also result in contaminated run-off or a build-up of sediment.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;span style='font-size:16px; font-family:&amp;quot;Avenir Next W01&amp;quot;, &amp;quot;Avenir Next W00&amp;quot;, &amp;quot;Avenir Next&amp;quot;, Avenir, &amp;quot;Helvetica Neue&amp;quot;, sans-serif;'&gt;Surface water is the water that makes up our rivers, lakes and streams. Conservation Authorities assess the quality of these water bodies by measuring water chemistry (phosphorous, oxygen) and organisms that live in the sediment at the bottom of the streams and rivers. Some Conservation Authorities also measure bacteria.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;font&gt;&lt;span style='font-size:16px;'&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;font&gt;&lt;span style='font-size:16px;'&gt;&lt;b&gt;Forest Condition&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;font&gt;&lt;span style='font-size:16px;'&gt;We are finding that the amounts of forest cover, forest interior and riparian areas in southern and western Ontario to be less than we would like. Forest and riparian areas provide important ecosystem services like climate change adaptations, habitat for birds and wildlife, and they contribute to improved water quality.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/font&gt;Three indicators are used by Conservation Authorities to
assess forest conditions at the watershed and subwatershed scale: Percent
