The Greenbelt trails and the Federal Way trails were digitized off of the Ada County 2007 orthophotos. The Ridge to Rivers trails in the foothills were added from data that is created and maintained by the trails staff of Boise Parks and Recreation. This Ridge to Rivers data is created from Google Earth KML files obtained from the BLM. The KML data files were converted and loaded into the geodatabase. When updates are requested for the Ridge to Rivers trails the new information will be obtained from Boise Parks and Recreation trails staff. The proposed greenbelt trails are approximate locations of future pathways.

This data set does not contain any vertical measurements or values.
Features in this data set were collected via a combination of heads up digitizing and loading trail data from KML files that were digitized from Google maps.
As of July 2019, this dataset is created by merging together two different feature classes – gisvueworkp.PK_UrbanTrails and gisvectoredit.BPR_Rural. PK_UrbanTrails contains a segmented version of the Greenbelt trails and all other urban trails. BPR_Rural contains all Ridge to Rivers foothills trails.
