                <procdesc>The coverage subwatersheds (subws) was created by visual delineation and interpretation of the subwatersheds onto mylar sheets off of the 1988 1:5000 aerial photos (ortho-rectified).  Polygons and lines were then subsequently digitized and attributed. 
The coverage subws was created with the projection and coordinate system of UTM 12N, NAD27, and Clarke1866.  This coverage was updated to UTM 12N, NAD83, and GRS1980 in February 2004. Projectdefine command in ArcINFO used to establish original projection in coverage.  Project command in ArcINFO used to change datum.
The coverage subws was converted to a shapefile for polygonal editing in Arc GIS 8.3 and Arc View 3.2. Editing consisted of populating the subws_num with the designated subwatershed numbers and removing spurious polygons at the boundary of subws 122 and subws 209.  During the conversion from a coverage to a shapefile the projection and coordinate system carried over, but was lost during the conversion from a shapefile to a coverage.  The projection and corrdinate system was reassinged to the corrected coverage in Arc Catalog.</procdesc>
