The Thoroughfare Plan identifies transportation corridors to be implemented as development occurs. The TMP recommends San Marcos roadways should be designed and enhanced with Complete Streets policies in mind as the community develops and grows. The Transportation Master Plan recommends new cross-sections (shown in the Appendix) based on these polices. They have been applied to the future Thoroughfare Plan based on several criteria, including type of facility, traffic volumes and speeds.
