        <idAbs>&lt;a target='_blank' rel='noopener noreferrer'&gt;Montgomery County FrogWatch&lt;/a&gt; is a local chapter of the &lt;a href='https://aza.org/frogwatch' target='_blank' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'&gt;FrogWatch USA national citizen science program&lt;/a&gt; and is co-hosted by Montgomery Department of Environmental Protection (MCDEP) and Montgomery Parks. Trained volunteers learn to recognize frogs and toads by their unique breeding calls and how to collect data on their populations and local aquatic habitats using a &lt;a href='https://www.aza.org/frogwatch-monitoring-protocols' target='_blank' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'&gt;standardized protocol&lt;/a&gt;. Data are entered into an online database, &lt;a href='https://frogwatch.next.fieldscope.org/' target='_blank' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'&gt;FrogWatch-FieldScope&lt;/a&gt;, are accessible to all to explore, and can be used for developing conservation strategies for frog and toad species and their habitat.&lt;div&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div&gt;&lt;div&gt;Montgomery FrogWatch was launched in 2014 with Montgomery Parks facilitating monitoring on M-NCPPC property. This layer is used as part of the &lt;a href='https://mcplanning.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=d2dd3c6de4684e31913bc490cf2cf62f&amp;amp;extent=-8666203.3992%2C4700066.4484%2C-8519444.3048%2C4771076.4476%2C102100' target='_blank' rel='nofollow ugc noopener noreferrer'&gt;FrogWatch Locations Web App&lt;/a&gt; so that volunteers can locate existing listening locations and establish new ones.
