AADT GIS Layer representation of the State and Local Average Annual Daily Traffic (AADT) Volumes for the Connecticut Department of Transportation Created to maintain the official state and local AADT volumes for the State of Connecticut. The AADT data is updated as new counts are received and then reviewed in the Office of Traffic Monitoring. Counts are collected via permanent sites and portable sites. The results are analyzed and reviewed through TMTOFU and once verified and completed they are updated in the AADT asset. All roads and routes with available AADT counts contain a cross sectional position value (XSP) of COMB (combined count), LOG (Log Directional Count), or REV (Rev Directional Count). A combined count will always be displayed on the log direction of a route even if that route has a divided section, an associated rev route ID, and/or LOG/REV XSP values. The year displayed is the year the count was last taken. The counts are on a 3-year cycle for the state. In the process of moving the data into the new Exor system, currently any count with a year prior to 2017 will have a growth factor applied to them. These will be replaced with actual counts as the 3-year cycle updates going forward from 2017. This layer is developed for internal CTDOT use, is a cartographic rendering of DOT Roadway Inventory records. It should not be referenced or incorporated in any manner in any legal document or proceedings.
