Flood modelling data is supplied to the best of Wellington Water's knowledge. Further data changes to these layers were recommended by the IHP in their <a href='https://wellington.govt.nz/-/media/your-council/plans-policies-and-bylaws/district-plan/proposed-district-plan/files/decision-making-process-on-the-proposed-district-plan/briefing-5/5b/ihp-recommendation-report-5b---natural-and-coastal-environment-hazards.pdf' rel='nofollow ugc'>decision report</a>.</p><p></p><p><span style='font-weight:bold;'>Summary of Data Collection (Data only):</span></p><p>Stream Corridor generated using a buffer of 5m either side of open channel stream centrelines. Outputs were validated by field work, aerial photos and as-built plans.</p><p></p><p>Overland Flow generated using depth and speed results from the Wellington Water hydraulic flood models for WCC catchments, along with engineering judgement. Overland flow paths represent the predicted path of stormwater as it flows over topography.</p><p></p><p>Inundation generated by Wellington Water using depth results from the hydraulic flood models for WCC catchments.</p><p></p><p>Wellington Water does not accept any responsibility for the use of or reliance on the data and shall not be liable to any person on any ground for any loss, damage or expense arising from such use or reliance.</p>
