        <suppInfo>In 2002, a GIS regionalization project was carried out as an effort involving Richmond, Chesterfield and Henrico counties, for the purpose of defining the shared corporation line without conducting a very expensive field survey. The goal was to create a ‘seamless,’ agreed-upon boundary between Richmond and its adjacent jurisdictions, for use in our GIS systems. As part of the process in defining the City Boundary GIS data source, the City of Richmond parcel lines were corrected to best possible accuracy using both Chesterfield and Henrico Counties where parcels share boundaries. The following source data were used in the process to maintain the best synthesis between relative positional accuracy and aesthetics of Richmond parcel lines and the adjacent jurisdictions.
